Spring-Security 3 impersonation

We need to implement impersonation in our java/flex app that uses spring-security 3. We can't seem to find any useful stuff out there for it. The mailing list is archived and all support is now through .
Do you guys know of any good examples of implementing this?
Also is spring security no longer supported? Should we be using something else?

Well, it does have a website (http://projects.spring.io/spring-security/) and the last commit (https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-security) was a few days ago as of writing, so if you call that “no longer supported” you're using a faster expiry cycle than I'm used to. ;) Looks like 3.2.9 is the last version that is likely to be compatible with what you're doing without needing thorough retesting.
