Google Translate WTF

1. Go to Google Translate (English to Spanish).
2. Type in "Heath Ledger is dead."
3. Translate.
(I'm pretty sure this result is a googlebombing of the "suggest a better translation button")
-
Well, it's still beta.
Bugs happen.

While that particular phrase may come up with a possibly amusing translation, it would appear the string 'Heath Ledger' gets translated to the same thing as your original in any phrase it appears in.For example the marginally less amusing 'Katie Holmes and Heath Ledger had a baby'

*DING* redundant subject line detected.

This is what happens when you allow the general public to 'suggest' a 'better' translation.
-
So what was the translation? It's now "Heath Ledger está muerto." which looks plausible to me (I don't speak Spanish), and not funny, so it must have been fixed.
-
Until Google got hit with a clue stick, it would say "Tom Cruise está muerto."
-
Try "I like heath" and "I like heath and moor". The translation to German changes the meaning on the second sentence, but not the Spanish one.
I couldn't get the translation to German treat ledger as a book ("Hauptbuch") no matter what sentence I put it in.
